
WWCSC BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MEETING Meeting 7-16-07 6:30 Meeting called to order Alan Siegle, Pres; Ricardo Freitas, Pool Mgr; Virginia Porter, Treas.; Lynn Deedler, Facilities Dir.; Roger Klein, Sec. In attendance. Reports: President’s Alan met with Dave Brennan, City Manager. Discussion of problems with shade trees effects on solar panels. Consideration of trimming to take place if appropriate. Discussions regarding possibility of increasing Photo voltaic installation. City co-operation with pool has been very good. Pool Manager’s BBC television report highlighted the efforts of Sebastopol’s efforts to increase energy conservation and self-sufficiency by communities in the U.S. Ives Pool is famous in the UK! Painting touch-ups are ongoing around the pool. New E-Z Up installed New pool chairs, heavy duty Vamos A Nadar went well Treasurer’s Profit and Loss statement presented. Healthy increase in income and modest increase costs. Motion made and unanimously passed to transfer funds from operating expense acct. to interest bearing acct. Facilities Shade structure for bleachers has been studied. Discussion of Ridgeway’s choice of a shade option. Bids will go out for steel galvanized framework in neighborhood of $1800 Old Business Suggestion sheet for user’s ideas on ways to improve the pool experience to be posted by Virginia using Roger’s suggested sheet. Insurance Report postponed due to Eric’s absence Bathhouse upgrade Pool will be closed about 5 days in the fall (Nov 5-9) for renovations. Heating and ventilation, especially women’s locker room to be improved. Sandblasting to be seriously considered as best prep for problem areas to be painted or touched up. Ricardo, Lynn, Alan, and Roger to do walk through for work/project list. New Business Meeting date to be August 13. High School meets may benefit from lifeguard from Ives being present to monitor and promote safety for the large number of people present at the events. Roger to call Keller MacDonald to set up meeting to discuss the upcoming season for the e High School. Open House Sept. 22.
