WSCS BOARD OF DIRECTORS MONDAY OCTOBER 17, 2005 PALM DRIVE HOSPITAL 6:30PM Meeting called to order at 6:35 pm with Board members Eric Fritsch, Lynn Deedler, Virginia Porter, Alan Siegle, Tom Hemphill and Roger Klein. Pool Manager Ricardo Freitas Review and approval of September 19 , 2005 Minutes Minutes approved as submitted. Motion by Eric and seconded by Alan Public Comment None REPORTS President's Report-Virginia WCSC has joined the Chamber of Commerce and board members are invited to attend the Business After Hours mixer. Virginia will make a "State of thePpool" presentation to the City Council in Nov.

New flower beds and benches with barbeques installed along the south end of the park, entrance to the pool,
Ricardo met twice with Public Works Director to check roof and bottom of the pool
Nov. 6-11 pool will be closed for repars and improvements
Lynn Deedler fixed the ramp

Marketing Task Force

Round table lunch committee Bill Cole Real Estate, Kim Caruso Comm Center, Roger Klein Rotary will brainstorm on ways the pool can better serve the community and reach more users

Bylaw revision update

By laws are being revised and updated by Eric with help from Montana Podva
Policy manual creation. Eric noted this will include employment practices, emergency procedures, etc. and Eric will lead on this.
Identification of long term replacement of physical plant. Nothing new at this time.
Annual Membership was letter considered for content and message to public The Board agreed to focus on scholarship programs and outreach to the Latin community. Virginia will draft the letter and co-ordinate mailing.
Resolution of user request for refund. Virginia will draft the letter and Co-ordinate mailing.
Solar Donor Placque. Temporary solar panel recognition placque installed and the idea of incorporating family statements with each name will be considered
Insurance claim-Eric monitoring He and Ricardo will explore the idea of self insurance for groups using the pool.
