Dear Friend of Ives Pool,
Now is the time to join Friends of Ives Pool for 2010
and to make a tax deductible contribution to keep our wonderful Ives Pool
operating all year in 2010!
At a time when pools and
swimming programs throughout our region are reducing hours or closing, Ives
Pool is going strong with year round aquatics programs for all ages and
abilities! You can help keep Ives thriving in 2010 through your financial
support during this season of giving.
Friends of Ives Pool/WSCS (Western Sonoma County Swimmers) is a non-profit
organization that funds 100% of the operating cost and all of the aquatic
programs at Ives Pool. Take a look at
what Friends of Ives Pool
accomplished in 2009:
- 70,000 visits were made to Ives Pool (an average
of almost 200 users per day!)
- Ives was open 355 days including Thanksgiving and
New Years Day
- On average Ives was open 15 hours/day
- Ives provided 20 scholarships for swim lessons
and aqua therapy
- Ives employed 60 people of which 75% were high
school students
- Paid for a new chlorination system (more than
$40,000)
- Our solar installation reached 135,000
